William Jenney an accomplished engineer invented the skyscraper in 1884, after noticing a bird cage . The skyscraper allows more people and businesses to occupy popular, but limited, areas. A skyscraper boom unfolded in Chicago and New York following the construction of the home insurance building in 1884, it changed the building design, how they look, accelerated the economy, and led to 9/11 and the ”War On Terror”
